Amber Farkas

Amber Farkas is the Manager of Government Audit and Appeals for the Penn Medicine Office of Billing Compliance. In her role she is responsible for overseeing all government audit activity for the health system?s six hospitals, multispecialty outpatient provider practices, and specialized care. She has over 20 years of experience in diverse health care environments, with specific emphasis on compliance, revenue cycle process, and provider education. Prior to Penn she worked for a health care financial management consulting firm, and directed abstraction and compliance for the Department of Pediatrics at a large children?s hospital. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration from St. Joseph's University. She holds a Certified Professional Coder certification with the American Academy of Professional Coders.
