Amy Togonon

Amy Togonon, PharmD is a Clinical Pharmacist within the Pharmacy Services department at Blue Shield of California. Amy has actively participated in a variety of projects for Commercial and Medicare members focusing on opioid safety and HEDIS measures. Amy helped evolve the retrospective Drug Utilization Review Program to the Drug Management Program (DMP) it is today. While enhancing the medication review process, she ensured the goal was always that members had appropriate access to safe and effective use of prescription medications. In the DMP, she works closely with the clinical team which includes nurses, medical directors, pharmacists, and prescribers all collaborating to ensure the members regimen is safe, appropriate, and when necessary to provide additional resources.
