Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, HealthRIGHT360

Ana-Cristina (Cris) Navarro is the Deputy Chief of Compliance at HealthRIGHT360, a California-based health justice organization providing compassionate,integrated care that includes primary medical, mental health, substance use disorder treatment and re-entry services. She also recently served as the ChiefCompliance Officer for Shasta Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Northern California. Prior to moving into the CommunityHealth Clinic world, Cris held hospital compliance leadership positions at Enloe Medical Center, Sutter Health and Adventist & Rideout Health in NorthernCalifornia. In addition to healthcare compliance, Cris developed and led a centralized comprehensive compliance program for Butte County and its 23 diversedepartments. Cris has focused experience and skills in dealing with government interaction and investigations through both formal and informalarrangements. Prior to working in Compliance, Cris worked as an attorney in Florida and Connecticut, including the Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and EleventhCircuits, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, specializing in the United States Sentencing Guidelines (U.S.S.G), federal criminal defense,municipal, environmental and other regulatory matters. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami, and undergraduate degrees in CreativeWriting and History from the University of Bridgeport. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, writer, poet, and budding Tai Chi and Qigong enthusiast.
