Ms. Eklund serves as the SVP/ Compliance &Internal Audit, Chief Compliance Officer for Baptist Health System, where she is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of compliance, privacy, internal audit, and enterprise risk management. She previously held the role of SVP/Chief Compliance Officer for UnityPoint Health, where she led the compliance, privacy, information security, risk management and employed provider contracting teams. Before joining UnityPoint Health, she served as the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer for Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Florida.
She holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree (JD) from Northern Illinois University and is certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and professional coding (CPC).
