Brenda Manning

Brenda has a Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI and a JD from Creighton University School of Law, Omaha, NE. She is a licensed attorney and has a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Compliance from George Washington University, Washington, DC and holds a CHC and CHPC and is pursuing her CHRC. Brenda worked as a Compliance Officer in the receivables management industry for 16 years before joining University of Minnesota Physicians as Privacy & Regulatory Affairs Director. She currently works as the Privacy Director and Privacy Officer for Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, an academic health system that serves 1 million residents of the western Virginia region in partnership with Virginia Tech. Her favorite aspect of her job is participating in trainings at New Employee Orientation, Annual Employee In-Services for all staff, physicians, residents and medical students.
