Scott is a multi-disciplinary Healthcare Compliance Officer who has served in compliance, healthcare operations, Professional Medical Liability (Malpractice) claims and risk management, patient safety, quality of care professional and quality improvement leadership roles. He has 30+ years of progressive business, medical practice, hospital, compliance, and insurance management experience.
Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) in 2000, as one of the first board certified healthcare compliance officers in the United States. One of nine compliance officers to complete the first national university-based introductory and advanced compliance officers' training programs at the Harvard University School of Public Health, 1998-2000. Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC). A nationally published author and speaker, for the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), Bar Associations, Medical Societies, and national peer reviewed professional journals.
At Augusta Health, he serves as chief compliance officer for a 255 bed, community owned acute care hospital, with associated medical groups, an Accountable Care Organization, over 2400 employees and revenues in excess of $300M annually.
