Mr. Dan Fitzgerald

Dan Fitzgerald is a Senior Counsel for Walgreen Co., one of the nation's largest drugstore chains. He is an experienced health care attorney, having worked for many years in both the public and private sectors. Dan previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Illinois Attorney General's Office and as Chief Legal Counsel to the Illinois Office of Inspector General. In his current position at Walgreens, he focuses on a variety of health care litigation and fraud and abuse compliance matters, including Medicare and Medicaid audits, government investigations, and False Claims Act cases. Dan received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame, his Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University, and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
