Dawn Becker-Ellison, PharmD is a Senior Pharmacist within the Pharmacy Services department at Blue Shield of California. Dawn specializes in the interpretation of regulatory guidance and quality measures to ensure the Pharmacy Clinical Programs team creates the necessary compliant interventions. In addition, Dawn has extensive experience with Medicare Part D, having established the Medication Therapy Management and retrospective Drug Utilization Review programs (the precursor to Drug Management Programs), as well as participating in multiple program and data validation audits. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dawn has led the Pharmacy Services task force implementing benefit and formulary changes in response to state and federal requirements. Besides her 16 years experience in managed care, she has worked in both big Pharma and retail pharmacy industries and is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC).
