Erika Riethmiller

Erika Riethmiller is the Chief Privacy Officer, UCHealth, an academic health system located in Denver, Colorado. Erika was previously Corporate Director, Privacy, for Anthem, INC. where she managed the privacy incident response and reporting program for over 48,000 employees. Prior to Anthem, Erika was the Privacy Officer for the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing for the State of Colorado where she was responsible for the Departments compliance with HIPAAs privacy, breach and security rules as a covered entity under HIPAA. Erika has 25+ years working with hospitals, providers, and insurers on issues ranging from risk management and quality to general compliance and local, state and federal privacy rules and regulations. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University, Rush University's Health Systems Management graduate program, and George Washington University's post-graduate Health Care Corporate Compliance program. Erika holds certifications in the fields of privacy (CHPC, CIPP), general compliance (CHC) and information security management (CISM).
