Jack Shearer

Ryan Shearer is Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He obtained a degree in Accounting from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga after serving in the United States Marine Corps. After obtaining his CPA license, he worked in public accounting for Ernst & Young and as an Assistant Controller at a physical therapy company. In 2013, he accepted a job as Compliance Auditor, a newly created position, at UT Medical Center. After expansion of responsibilities over the next 6 years, he was promoted to Chief Compliance Officer at the hospital in 2020.
