Jean Delva

Jean Delva, the founder and CEO of Symbion Coding Inc., is a medical coding expert with extensive experience in Medicare risk adjustment and chart auditing. Over his 15-year career, he has achieved a track record of success, including helping many organizations increase their profits. Mr. Delva is a shrewd operational manager who prizes the discovery of new efficient ways to help large health plans, managed service organizations (MSOs), and medical providers maximize revenue. To date, his clients have improved revenue through their partnership with Symbion. Prior to founding Symbion in 2018, Mr. Delva served as the director of Medicare risk adjustment at one of the largest MSOs in Florida. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating coding and retrospective audits with Independent Practice Association (IPA) providers and nine wholly- owned centers. Mr. Delva earned a bachelor's degree in health information and medical records technology from Western Governors University. He holds certifications as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), and Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) from American Health Information Management (AHIMA).
