Joey Burby

Joey Burby is a Partner in the Atlanta office of Bryan Cave LLP. He is a former federal and state prosecutor whose practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, corporate internal investigations and compliance, and complex civil litigation with the government, including the defense of False Claims Act cases. Prior to joining Bryan Cave, Mr. Burby served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. While he prosecuted a wide range of federal criminal offenses, Mr. Burby focused heavily on health care fraud and other economic crimes involving government programs. Mr. Burby was involved in several high-profile prosecutions at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including most notably the capital case against Centennial Olympic Park bomber Eric Rudolph. Mr. Burby began his career by serving as an Assistant District Attorney with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in Atlanta, where he successfully tried numerous homicide and other high profile cases.
