Kellie Mendoza

Kellie Mendoza serves as the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer for Medical University of South Carolina Physicians (MUSCP) in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, she has primary responsibility for the development, implementation, revision and oversight of professional compliance and privacy across the health system. As the Chief Compliance Officer for a growing health system, Kellie works to maintain and expand the visibility of corporate compliance efforts and recommends and implements compliance initiatives to meet the demands of the health care regulatory environment. Also, in support of MUSC's academic mission, Kellie also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member for the College of Health Professions where she teaches a Healthcare Reimburse Systems course to Master of Health Administration students.

Kellie is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Health Administration. She holds a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), a Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and a Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
