Laura F. Laemmle-Weidenfeld

Laura Laemmle-Weidenfeld defends health care and life sciences clients against civil and criminal government investigations and litigationrelating toallegations of fraud and abuse, particularly under the False Claims Act. She defends against investigations brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ),Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General, state attorneys general, and other state and federal agencies. Laura also counsels clients on compliance-related issues, including complying with requirements under Corporate Integrity Agreements and consideringpotential self-disclosures to federal and state components. She has represented a broad spectrum of health care providers, including hospitals and healthsystems, home health care agencies, clinical laboratories, ambulance providers, and pharmacies, as well as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. Earlier in her career, Laura was a trial attorney in the Frauds Section of the DOJ
