With over 20 years of experience in progressive healthcare leadership, Lisa Herota joined the Vail Health team as the Health Information Management Directorand Privacy Officer in 2017. In 2020, she moved into the Compliance Department as the Director of Compliance and Privacy, and took over leadership of thedepartment and the role of Compliance and Privacy Officer in 2021. Lisa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from the University of Cincinnatiand a Master of Science in Healthcare Management with a focus in Informatics from Colorado Technical University. Lisa holds professional certifications inHIPAA Privacy and Security (CHPS), Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Health Information Management (RHIA), and Professional Coding (CCS). Her expertise in avariety of healthcare areas and enterprise level leadership skills make her ideally suited for enhancing a culture of compliance across large health systems.
