Mark Neu

Mark Neu serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Renown Health in Reno, Nevada. Internal Audit reports to Compliance at Renown. Renown Health is a fully integrated health system that includes a Level 2 Trauma center, a children?s hospital, a hospice, home health, a multi-specialty medical group, a health plan, an ACO REACH program, and an affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Prior to joining Renown, Mr. Neu was the Compliance Officer for Alta Hospitals in Los Angeles. Prior to Alta, Mr. Neu was the Vice President of Compliance, Audit and Legal for Palomar Health in northern San Diego County. Mr. Neu has also held leadership roles in compliance at the University of California San Diego Health System, and Tenet Healthcare. Mr. Neu has been a Health Information Technology instructor at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA, and has also been a guest lecturer on healthcare compliance at California State University, San Marcos, the University of California at San Diego, National University, the California Hospital Association, the Healthcare Chaplains Ministry Association, Optima Healthcare Insurance, Health Ethics Trust, Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors, The San Diego County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Neu is the past board chair at The Elizabeth Hospice, located in north San Diego County. Mr. Neu holds a BA in Psychology from the California State University, Long Beach, and an MS in Health Care Administration from California State University, Long Beach. He is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and is a certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
