Nakis Urfi

Nakis Urfi provides thought leadership in the areas of AI Governance, Compliance and Ethics, and ESG. He is currently Chief Compliance and Communications Officer at Cantex Continuing Care Network, where he oversees the organization's Compliance, Communications, and AI Governance programs. Nakis has held leadership roles at Abbott Laboratories, Booz Allen Hamilton, Wellcare, and Babylon Health, a global AI and digital health company. His career includes federal contracting as an auditor and consultant to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and service as a Chief Compliance Officer, ESG Leader, operations leader, and healthcare attorney. He is a board member of the SNP Alliance, board advisor to Glacis.io (an AI governance company), Chair of the North Texas Ethics and Compliance Council, and a former member of the American Telemedicine Association Action Advocacy Council and AI Committee. Nakis is an active member of the Health Care Compliance Association, and is certified in Healthcare Compliance and in Healthcare Privacy Compliance. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center as well as a MPH and BS from the University of Texas.
