Natalie currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Institutional Compliance Officer and Chief Audit Executive for UT Southwestern Medical Center. Natalie oversees the Office of Institutional Compliance and Audit Services which includes Privacy, Health System Compliance, Research & Academic Compliance, Compliance Program Effectiveness, Controlled Substance & Pharmacy Compliance, and Audit Services. In her role she is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the compliance, privacy and audit function for all of UT Southwestern and Southwestern Health Resources. Prior to joining UT Southwestern Natalie served as the Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for CommunityCare part of the Ascension Health System. At CommunityCare, Natalie was responsible for all aspects of their risk, audit and compliance programs including assessing risks and vulnerabilities, developing audit and monitoring programs, designing and deploying education, conducting investigations and root cause analyses. Natalie also served as the Regional Compliance, Privacy and Risk Management Director for the Texas Region of the Providence St. Joseph Health System. There she was responsible for overseeing and implementing the compliance, privacy and risk management programs for six hospitals, two medical groups and an ACO in West Texas. Prior to joining Providence St. Joseph Health System, she worked at Bay Area Medical Center where she served as the Director and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer. Natalie also has experience with several large health systems in Chicago, Illinois including Lurie Childrens Hospital, Rush University Medical Center and Loyola University Medical Center, as well as several major law firms across the country. In addition to her professional experience, she obtained her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago. She also has a Masters in Social Work and Organizational Leadership. Natalie is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Healthcare Internal Audit Professional (CHIAP). She is currently on staff as an adjunct faculty member at Texas Tech University where she teaches Health Law and Ethics.
