Robert Trusiak, Esq. is a former state and federal prosecutor with more than two decades of experience as a recognized healthcare compliance andenforcement leader in the state of New York. Robert served as Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1992-2012, and was named Affirmative Civil Enforcement Chief forthe US Attorneys Office, Buffalo, NY, handling health care fraud, HUD fraud, grant fraud, other procurement fraud and all whistleblower actions. At the time ofRoberts retirement in 2012, the Buffalo office had the 3rd highest volume of whistleblower actions for US Attorney offices. Robert and the ACE team achievedthe highest False Claims Act settlement in the history of the Western District of New York. Robert is the Chief Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer forCatholic Charities, Diocese of Rochester. Robert also is the former General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer for BryLin Hospitals, Inc, aprivate pediatric and adult inpatient and outpatient behavioral health system, Buffalo, NY. Robert also represents physicians, physician practices, hospitals, DMEproviders and pharmaceuticals in a number of matters, including building value based payment models, prosecuting or defending False Claims Act actions,HIPAA breaches, and representing providers in state and federal enforcement actions. Robert is a former Adjunct Professor, University of Buffalo, teachinghealth care fraud and abuse. Robert also was Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Associate General Counsel and Privacy Officer for Kaleida Health.
