Mrs. Sara McLean

Sara McLean is an Assistant Director in the Commercial Litigation Branch (Fraud Section), Civil Division, Department of Justice. Before becoming an Assistant Director in March 2010, she was a Trial Attorney in the Section for over ten years. She has handled and supervised a wide variety of False Claims Act matters in the areas of healthcare fraud, procurement fraud, and minerals royalty fraud. She has had major recoveries in nationwide home healthcare fraud investigations, defective pricing cases against major information technology companies, and natural gas royalties fraud litigation. Her healthcare experience has also included matters involving the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Act, failure of care at nursing homes, and fraud in the Medicare post-payment review process, among many other matters. Ms. McLean has received numerous awards for her work.
