Sarah Couture RN

Sarah Couture, RN, CHC, CHRC, is an experienced compliance professional with deep knowledge that spans a wide array of healthcare settings. Sarah has served as the hospital compliance officer for a large academic medical center and in interim compliance positions for various healthcare entities. She is often called upon to deliver compliance program effectiveness assessments and compliance risks assessments for regional hospitals, academic medical centers, long-term/post-acute care companies, behavioral health/SUD practices, and many other healthcare organizations. She has served as Board Compliance Expert with multiple organizations under Corporate Integrity Agreements. Sarah is also an expert clinical trial billing coverage analyst and frequent provider of clinical trial billing education and training. She has considerable expertise as a clinical and medical necessity auditor, including extensive work with Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities. Sarah is a regular speaker at regional and national compliance events. Sarah recently co-wrote a chapter of the Health Care Compliance Professional's Manual. She also serves as the Editor for the Ankura Compliance Round Up, a monthly regulatory webinar, and is a charter faculty member for the HCCA Compliance Essentials Workshops. Sarah has been a registered nurse for 20 years and has had clinical experience in multiple practice settings. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedarville University, and is a registered nurse in the state of Indiana.
