Dr. Stefanie Corbett

Stefanie Corbett, DHA, is a healthcare educator, consultant, researcher, and author with extensive healthcare senior leadership experience. She has a special affinity for seniors and enjoys leveraging her experience, education and passion to healthcare professionals, consumers, advocacy groups and political constituents for the advancement of healthcare services rendered to the older adult population.

Since 2014, Dr. Corbett has owned and operated a private healthcare consulting firm, Corbett Healthcare Solutions, and she serves as the Department Chair of Healthcare Administration at Purdue University - Global. Her professional experience also includes leading diverse healthcare organizations and leading a state government agency’s healthcare regulatory division. As the Deputy Director of Health Regulation in South Carolina, she was responsible for overseeing the federal certification and state licensing teams, enforcing regulatory compliance at all health facilities/agencies across the state, monitoring major regulatory policy changes at the state and federal levels, and leading the promulgation of state regulations. She was also previously licensed as a nursing home administrator in various states.

Dr. Corbett obtained a Doctor of Health Administration degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Master of Health Administration from USC - Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC - Chapel Hill. She is the author of several articles and four books: Competency-Based Care & Facility Assessments: A Compliance Guide for F726 and F838; The Long-Term Care Compliance Toolkit; Long-Term Care Quality Measures: A Guide to Data Analysis, Performance Improvement, and Public Reporting; and The Theft Prevention Guide for Senior Living. Dr. Corbett is also an active member of several professional associations and community service organizations.
