Sandra Durkin

Sandra Durkin is a member at Strategic Health Law, where she helps healthcare organizations stay compliant and manage risk in complex legal and regulatory environments. With a background in commercial litigation, Sandra prioritizes an in-depth understanding of her clients businesses and provides counsel to proactively identify and mitigate risk. In addition to providing legal analysis and support on the day-to-day matters that healthcare companies face, Sandra works with companies to develop and maintain effective compliance programs, interpret and implement new and evolving legal and regulatory requirements, and draft contracts tailored to their business needs. Sandras solutions-oriented approach is informed by a strong background in litigating complex business disputes. Sandras litigation experience includes representing managed care organizations and health plans in litigation and arbitration, including disputes opposite laboratories, hospital systems, and other healthcare providers, actions against the federal government for redress under the Affordable Care Act, and multi-district class action litigation. Sandra previously worked at a large international law firm and a sophisticated litigation boutique, which she left as a partner to join Strategic Health Law. Sandra earned her J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School and she has a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in English from the University of Arizona.
